Learning the basics of HTML/CSS

If you are thinking at becoming a web programmer you must learn HTML and CSS. Our course will introduce these basic topics in small bite sized learning modules. Each chapter has it’s very own major project to help reinforce these concepts.

Many learners of this topic area truly enjoy it as it allows them to be creative in their journey.

HTML is the Building Blocks of Webpages

We start off by giving you a short history of HTML and why it was created. We ensure that you are exposed to common elements suce has Heading and Paragraph tags.

We learn how to use intermediate tags such as list and nesting elements. We make sure you can create hyperlinks as well.

Moving on to creating multiple webpages and having a navigation system built on the pages for easy clicking to move from page to page.

CSS is what adds style to webpages

We always compare HTML to being like the bones of our bodies and CSS to being the skin. CSS stands for Cascading Style Sheets and it applies the look and feel of the website.

It’s true without CSS the HTML document looks like something that came from a word processor.

In our CSS modules you will learn the different types of CSS styling (inline, internal, external). You will learn about positioning.

We do go into some advanced CSS topics such as making things more responsive using Media Queries, and introduce you to Flexbox and Grid Layouts.

We have tests and quizzes throughout the modules that will give you instant feedback. These tests will give your camp tutor metrics and will help guide the discussion

As you progress through the modules you will earn points. These points can be redeemed by your Camp Tutor to unlock more modules.

Private chat with your instructor or tutor on the web or in the Mobile App. Just keep in mind tutors and instructors need sleep as well.

Do you have an online community?

Yes we have an online community. An online community depending on your signup you will be invited to a general community or a cohort based community.

How long will I have access to the course

You will have access to your Code Camp course for life (if purchased course only). If you are viewing course through subscription model then once your subscription ends the course will be hidden until you resume your subscription.

Do you have online tutors?

Yes we have online tutors. Based on your signup package you may have a session with our tutors included in the package or they can be purchased when you need them.

Do you have payment plans?

We may be able to break payments up if you are trying to pay for the course and keep it. However most learners will just opt for the monthly membership program.

Do you have any free course to see if I like your teaching style?

Yes we have a free Python Course that we offer. Feel free to take it to see if you enjoy it.
